Paul Spruell Motorcars has announced that they will become the first authorized AutodeltaUSA dealer, and are currently taking orders for 2001 model Spider, GTV6, and 166 cars. They expect to have demonstration cars available this month, with customers cars arriving as soon as January, according to their website. Paul Spruell estimates pricing for the new Autodeltas at $40-44,000 for Spiders, $45,000 for GTV6s, and around $50,000 for the 166, all equipped with a 3.0L V6. US consumers will soon have the opportunity to buy new Alfa Romeo-based vehicles through the efforts of AutodeltaUSA, a firm operating as a small-volume manufacturer in the state of Illinois.
Autodelta plans to bring in 800 modified Spider, GTV6 and 166 models per year, to be badged as Autodeltas and sold through the top 10 former Alfa Romeo dealers in the US. According to Alex Jordano of AutodeltaUSA, pricing and specifications, vehicle availability, and an exact list of dealers participating in the Autodelta program have not been finalized yet.
